Olympus OM-10

9

I picked this camera up in a charity shop for £10 (roughly $16) and it came with the body, a 35-200mm lense, a 28-85mm lense and a gigantic camera bag. Already a bargain!

I then went to a local camera fair and bought 50mm lense and a 28mm lense

I took this camera out for the first time when a friend and I broke into an old abandoned factory, having failed to get into an old papermill. I was worried about the results, as I had never used a fully manual camera. These worries surpassed when I got the results back! As you can see, the results were amazing, and the inbuilt automatic light meter is a godsend.

The next time I took the Olympus out was when I took my dad into central London at 5AM to cycle too Paris. The lighting was amazing the entire morning, and I spent hours wandering and snapping away! I decided that I didn’t need to use the auto features, which is when the manual adaptor showed its true colours. It gave me the ability to control my photo’s, thus making it a fully manual camera. Which was perfect for getting a hold of the basics on such a sunny, clear morning! The results were amazing, as you can hopefully see :)

I conclusion, this camera is truly a thing of beauty. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, it has something to offer! I am very pleased with the results, and it has a permanent place in my camera bag, and is currently seeing more use that my digital SLR!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my review, and I hope that you pick the Olympus OM-10 up!

Great camera and review! The OM 20 (close to the OM 10) was my very first camera and I learned a lot by using it... and it's still working, never had a problem with my Olympus! :))

What's funny about this camera is that it was originally designed/marketed towards women. Check out this ad from when it launched: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkNOBJAT1Z4
