Lomography

You don’t really to have to wander far to find works of art when you’re in Paris. This is my second trip to Paris. Unfortunately, this time, my stay was cut short due to events beyond my control. Thus, I had only an afternoon to explore the sights before catching the next 13-hour flight home.

Looking at the free map provided by my hotel, I decided to just walk around the 17th arrondissement where my hotel was located, and simply enjoy the sights that this district had to offer.

First thing you should know about the 17th arrondissement is that it’s not exactly known to be a tourist location. Located just north of the Arc de Tromphe, this district is considered to be one of the finest and wealthiest places. I have been told that half of the district is made up of business corporations and the other half, high-end accommodation.

But what caught my attention was the artwork on the buildings, the Haussmannian architecture, the way businesses use art and how art is ingrained into the culture of Paris.
