My analogue journey started July last year and I decided to buy a LC-A+ in September when I managed to utilize a 25% discount code from Lomography. I heard many good things about the camera and how amazing the photos would turn out.
I could not wait to try out the camera when it was shipped to my house. I took it out to shoot the next day and I could not believe what i saw in the photos developed from my first roll. There were light leaks in more than half of the photos! Unfortunately, there were some manufacturing defects for my camera and I had to return it to Lomography for a new one.
I managed to get a new one after 1 week and I spent the next few weeks shooting with the LC-A+, hoping that I could get wonderful shots with it. It took a while for me to get used to the focus distances for the LC-A+ but I was still unsatisfied with the shots I had taken.
My first best picture finally “arrived” early this year when I went for a road trip to Malacca in Malaysia. I was at the Dutch Square in the heart of the town and there was a clocktower that was built in 1886. There were colorful flower beds around the clocktower and I thought to myself, “the flowers would look great with the historical clock tower”. I did a multiple exposure with the flowers and the clock tower.
That was the moment where my first best picture was “born”.

"and I thought to myself, “the flowers would look great with the historical clock tower”...
The great thing about this story is it again proves the old "Don't think - just shoot" rule to be something of an error. I have always said that the best results are the result of a little creative thinking...
Never stop thinking - never stop shooting!
